Design & Story
This piece started with a simple idea. Some people show up for the party. Some people show up for the outfits. Some people show up for the food.
The artwork features a hand illustrated Lunar New Year feast, bringing together dishes that are loved not just for their flavour, but for what they represent. Longevity noodles for long life. Yee Sang for prosperity and good fortune. Spring rolls shaped like gold bars for wealth and fresh beginnings. Tang yuan for family unity. Pineapple tarts for luck. Poon Choi, whole fish and celebratory banquet dishes for abundance and surplus in the year ahead.
The foods are arranged into a bold, energetic layout that captures the joyful chaos of a festive table. Colourful, busy, a little bit loud, and full of movement, just like Lunar New Year gatherings themselves.
At its heart, this piece is about more than food. It is about the table. The lazy susan spinning, people reaching over each other, someone telling you to eat more, someone else packing leftovers into containers before you even ask. Across cultures and generations, food is often how we gather, how we celebrate and how we stay connected.
“Here For The Food” is a playful statement, but also an honest one. Because sometimes the food is the event. And sometimes the table is where the best parts of life happen.

Exchanges & Returns
As each piece is created specifically for you, we’re unable to offer exchanges for change of mind, including sizing or colour selection. Please refer to the size guide carefully before ordering.
